I love experimentation, and I really appreciate what you’re bringing to Base, I know you’re trying to do the right thing, it’s in your DNA. Acknowledging this kind of mistake, because some people were affected, shows that you’re serious about growing without doing things carelessly.
Since you’re asking for our thoughts , as an artist, I personally don’t plan to tokenize my work. Some will, whether artists or creators, and I hope they find value in it. I’ve tried tokenizing some of my photos or content, but I don’t really see myself as that kind of content creator, I don’t have the mindset for it, or the need. My experience wasn’t exactly fun. I feel like you need a large following to create any real momentum, maybe I’m wrong, but to me it feels odd to tokenize just anything.

When someone buys a piece of art or content, it’s usually because they want to connect, support, and engage with the creator. A token is different, it’s not about emotion, it’s about money and price charts, and that kills the magic. Everything shifts , the connection becomes financial rather than emotional, and that really changes everything.
I’m not saying I have the truth, because as you said, we’re all still experimenting. But for now, I’ll stick to my art, my collectors, and the strong, intimate bonds I’ve built with them, without drawing in crowds of bad actors just chasing profit. The symbols are fundamentally opposite.
Thanks for receiving this as a constructive message, not a negative one 😉 0 reply
