Havasu Falls, rightfully considered a gem of the Grand Canyon, is often featured in magazines, TV shows, calendars, and postcards. Its incredible popularity stems from the mesmerizing emerald-blue color of the pools it forms, which strikingly contrasts with the surrounding red-brown cliffs. This vivid blue hue is due to the high levels of calcium carbonate and magnesium in the water, washed out from the local rock formations.
