It's annoying that for the past 20 years, cars have gotten bigger and meaner looking, while the roads haven't really changed much (at best, deteriorated)

OK so I’ve actually looked into this a couple times because I was curious can you build a one seater car that is smaller and works sort of like a Waymo or cruise -  is autonomous and can move in the city

One of the difficulties with this is that in building a chassis for a car it cost about the same for a one seater as it is for a four seater so the consequence of this is that you naturally optimize for carrying more people and so you’re gonna end up with bigger cars 

that being said it doesn’t really go into the theme of trucks and SUVs becoming bigger but I think that’s a separate story

And yeah, meant less Tron bikes and more going back to the '98 Camry (thanks, Obama)

Tron bike would slap from a taste / messaging standpoint tho

(But you have to anchor against bike, not car)

Also the car market is pre-established so you’re going into a market that has certain kind of consumer taste marketing messaging infrastructure to support it regulation etc. and it puts in a heinous situation if you’re trying to win unless you have some serious angle and less seats ain’t it
