Maybe some past life stuff

I love the smell of a forested mountain, but something about desert landscapes is also enchanting -- putting aside the personal effects, there's something cool about the fact that life continues to thrive in what we might otherwise consider inhospitable conditions

love mountains if there’s heavy forestry involved but arid landscapes dry me up from the inside out. not to be dramatic but i shrivel up and die in them like a prune 

am also curious about the preference variance. was debating w a girlfriend about why i’ve never felt the urge to see Grand Canyon
