im cutting out coffee to see what happens. background - ~10y of 2 espresso a day (300mg caffeine). - i sleep fine, avg 7.5h a day - i love coffee & look forward to it. but... - i do get headaches - i often feel lethargic - hunch it prevents deep work, just accelerates rapid ctx switching. updating this thread daily

Did this for a while, ended up relapsing and now at a 1-2 cup a day My favorite benefit was the muscular relaxation. Caffeine makes you physically tense, and because we're all so habitually caffeinated, we take that level of tension as baseline It's much easier to relax once the adenosine pathways go back to normal

Cool! This is part of why I wonder if caffeine makes it more difficult for me to do deep work. Often end up bouncing around in a shallow way between things post coffee.
