my biggest concern with people in tech who spend all day shouting on the internet is that many of them spend very little time talking to the people actually critical to society:

doctors, firefighters, police officers, construction workers, mechanics, farmers, chefs, baristas, mailmen, janitors, retail workers, etc.

I work in the retail sector, and one of the things I value the most is the opportunity to feed on all kinds of people. Every day I learn something new, and it is incredibly satisfying to be able to talk and work with people of all ages and backgrounds. Knowing different perspectives not only expands your vision of the world, but also teaches you lessons that are not found in any book. It's a constant reminder that there's always something to learn from others
