Because the biggest gain in efficiency comes not from adding something, but from removing something. 3. First, simple systems are always more reliable and easier to manage. 4. Second, to succeed, you need to focus on something. And focus is always associated with removing, not adding. 5. Third, no complex system can be built from scratch. It is always an evolution of a simpler system. 6. But what the hell should you throw out?
