Murasaki sweet potatoes are in the bag! A little early but these stems were actually “overwintered” from last year. I also have some Okinawa purple slips growing out now too.

I said 3 seasons but meant 3 years! Through all the seasons lol.

I like them a lot but with the caveat that I’m renting so it’s convenient and portable. If I had my own property I would definitely do in-ground or raised beds as it’s easier to manage nutrients and watering. For potatoes they’re cool because I can just dump it out to harvest easily instead of digging around. I also see it useful for crops that spread like horseradish to keep them contained and not let them take over other growing spaces. Also these are usually made with recycled plastic which isn’t ideal to me in general, especially around growing food. Mine have lasted 3 seasons so far but I’m using a brand name (Root Pouch) not generic Amazon or Temu. The only damage I have is on one bag a squirrel ripped the side open to put in its nuts. 🙄

How do you like grow bags? I was looking at some but I've seen people complain the we're only good one season and then needed replacing
