I was told it might be interesting to share some of the process of costuming a movie so here’s a little update✨

•built out the character wardrobe breakdown (photo)
•placed a huge order of scrubs (using a company card always makes me nervous😅)
•today I’m meeting with 3 of the leads to discuss their costume plan and get their measurements 
•also today I have a wardrobe production meeting with the director, producers, and my wardrobe assistant to discuss the schedule and character plans

this is only the tip of the iceberg😅 it’s funny because it’s a lot more coordination and organizing than it is designing overall but the organization makes me just as happy lol

there is a color story that involves a lot of blues and depending on each character’s story arc they might start or end in blue, but it’s not stylized like a Wes Anderson. it takes place in today’s world and most of the characters have a basic/normal style with a few eccentric characters

So organized and proper! Love it! Is there a fixed palette selected for movie like a Wes Anderson style, I see lot of blues and boots/chinos. Trying to find the type of movie from your wardrobe notes.

how much input does the actor have to their character's costume plan? when you discuss it with them, is it a conversation or more of a "this is my plan for you, incorporate it into your character" ?
