Did you know that countries the US gives foreign aid too are allowed to use that money to buy US treasuries to then earn interest on the money we gave them? What kinda fucking scam is this? They give our tax money to other countries and then make us pay interest on it too!

So let me get this straight:
The U.S. gives foreign aid → the receiving countries use it to buy U.S. treasuries → the U.S. pays them interest on the same money it gave out?
That’s not just aid that’s monetized diplomacy. 
Is it a strategic loop or just a taxpayer-funded flex? Is this brilliance in disguise or an economic self-own?
