considering the speed of AI development progress. should we still teach our kids coding skills at a young age? thoughts?

Why should they learn to code if they still don’t know what to do when they grow up? I’m trying to understand if they have interest in IT, otherwise is perfectly fine if they decide to do something completely different: medicine, history, plumber, firefighter, athlete, singer or whatever…

i think of it more as a basic skill that can be a creative outlet. it also helps with with understanding foundations of the exponentially growing digital world. 🌍
