The idea with the progression long run is to run at goal pace when you are already tired, getting the body and mind prepped to be hurting but still moving at a good clip. It works. The last 10km took a lot of focus, but it has built the confidence.

When you run a 30+ km and finish with a progression we (in Italy) call it Tergat’s Long The way Paul Tergat was used to train. Is it the same for you?

Never heard that term before. But the session feels like massive bang for buck. LSD blended with quality. Feet will be up tomorrow though, that is for sure.
