Maybe my understanding of Fraud Proofs are wrong, but instead of the complicated binary search used in dispute games like we have now, couldn’t a sequencer just publish a Merkle Root of a tree with nodes having something like the tuple (World State Trie, Transaction Id) given that the WST is updated after each transaction is executed? This way if someone claims a fraud, all they need to provide is a Merle Path to the parent of the fraud child, and so we know exactly where to look for fraud. This could I guess be extended to the instruction of the VM ie (WST, Transaction ID, Program Counter)
