I wonder about this a lot it’s something related to memory drift also like if you tell it your favorite color is red then you say you don’t have a favorite color later.. it’s kind of a bad example but most of the OpenAI research was just if it’s not .7 similar to history then don’t include the memory, and I don’t think linear time fully captures it either..

Maybe different personas/profiles (of you/your history) for the agent to access and which one is being used in context is decided by something deeper or even the agents training itself
