absolutely, i see this new coinbase x amex credit card with a serious potential to onboard normies — and more thanks to the 4% Bitcoin cashback. that kind of incentive is simple, even to people who don’t fully understand crypto yet.

it could bridge the gap between the traditional financial world and the onchain ecosystem — just spend like always and earn btc!

still, normies won’t flood in overnight. i am sure it takes marketing and education; but this card is a solid step toward making “onchain” a part of everyday life! 

My parents don’t even care that Coinbase is a real company on the US Stock Exchange. It’s still too new. But American Express says it’s cool and suddenly they are interested. 

This is exciting to me. I don’t care why people come to crypto. I just want them here!

american express is a fairly respected financial company, so as you said: that’s the key!

My parents asked me about it. To them, if American Express is involved, it must be legit. It gives Coinbase instant clout with older generations and I think that’s key!
