Thoughts on why NFTs lost to memecoins - and how another run is possible

The current NFT model just isn’t competitive enough to gain mindshare. The market cap of CS2 skins alone is literally bigger than all NFTs combined. WHY?

1. Liquidity
- no one wants to mint smaller

This is such a good post. Thanks. I’d argue that memecoins are already so saturated that they look a lot like NFT cycles previously. 

Something few have really cracked is liquidity inside a specific context as opposed to the wider “market.” 

I see a lot of value in art, membership, avatars in games, mini apps, etc..

Agreed I think NFTs need to learn from defi but keep its distinctiveness
