Quick thoughts on the Horner news. Really tough to say right now why exactly they dropped him *mid* season. That's a big deal after everything he's helped them achieve over 20 years. Time will tell if this was a) to save Max b) because they lost Max c) Jos / Helmut coup d) allegations. Two other key personnel also departed today. Chief marketing officer Oliver Hughes and Group Director of Communications Paul Smith. Sus. Christian now knows what Danny Ric felt at Singapore. Sucks to be dropped mid season. Rooting for Mekies to shine as RB TP! He has after all been leading the more dominant RB team this season. Last year's silly season walked so this year's could run. Brace yourselves. This is the end of an era for RB.

another angle but mainly (c) is that the redbull company founder passed and the redbull camps are split into two (thai and austria). i heard the thai side is backing horner and austria on jos/helmut side. so maybe the austrian side won?

Yeah, I think this plays a role. Could be caused by b-scenario. I think Marko will retire after this. If so, might even see a winding down of Red Bull presence in F1. A side route for Ford to get into the sport.
