no, only letter recognition as of the last school year. this is the year (maternelle grande) writing is introduced.

Yeah I was there until 2nd grade, so I just learned to write in cursive and still do most of the time 

I feel like the best options for cursive are to A. Learn it as your way to write or B. Don’t but the American way of kind of teaching it and then never looking it again is the funniest path
