many scammers use the -i’m doxxed excuse to lure you in and divert from their scamming, A pseudonym doesnt necessarily mean much

i use my real name for example, i just dont think im famous enough for that to matter to anyone online

Yeah, maybe unpopular opinion but imo there's a reason why non accredited investors are not allowed into certain high risk markets

Agree. Diff is not about that they won't get scammed. Difference is that they can afford to lose money. 

What I think should happen is that the accredited cap should be lowered as long as they can prove that the funds they are able to put in will not literally kill them if it's lost. 

That and people need to learn what is actually illegal (madoff) and what is companies failing (many such cases)

madoff scammed many famous intelligent well equipped and informed people that were “accredited investors”
