tbh I feel it’s better if TikTok is left the way it is, there might be an influx of incels(like on Twitter with the paid thing) if this is implemented

interesting i think the the influx of hate on X is because of the environment elon seems to encourage

reddit used to allow users to reward good replies it wasnt really monetised but the repliers got some benefits and was super wholesome

Now that you mention it, it makes a lot of sense. But things really took a turn for the worse when people realized they could get attention or even paid by fooling or bullying others.

I also think Reddit and Twitter serve different purposes. Twitter has always been more prone to an influx of hate, while Reddit tends to be more community or topic-focused. TikTok, on the other hand, started off as a fun and lighthearted app, but it can get really toxic when people use it to bully others just to go viral
