I don’t know if folks will find this interesting or not - but this is the process I use to remove the thousands of dust particles from my scanography work

It might not work for you as the dust particles may move between pics. In which case it would cause more issues than it solves…

I don’t know if it would work the same for you but with astrophotography you take a blank photo against white/black background to test for dead pixels. Then stack the images, to cancel them out!
