There was an article about Guimard in The Guardian today, didn't realize he ended up in exile in US to escape the Nazis. Surprisingly sad story, really.

I’ll have to read it, thanks for sharing. I never thought of Guimard as having been forgotten. His fingerprints are still all over Paris after all this time.
