it's chaotic. any time we settle into anything that resembles a pattern, it gets upended again after a few days since his deterioration is ongoing. i sleep with my noise-canceling headphones on now bc his schedule is so random. i just wake up with the expectation that i have a lot of overnight messes to clean up

oh I'm so sorry. memory issues are so complex. is there anyway to organize it during semi-predictable "downtime" as in nights or naps? or is that super variable & chaotic too?

it's hard bc my dad's particular issues make him angry and worked up when "strangers" are around. anyone he doesn't see on a daily basis is a stranger to him so it's hard to bring in temporary help. he even acts out when my sister and her kids visit bc she lives across the continent and we only see her once every couple years (╥_╥)
