oh I'm so sorry. memory issues are so complex. is there anyway to organize it during semi-predictable "downtime" as in nights or naps? or is that super variable & chaotic too?

it's hard bc my dad's particular issues make him angry and worked up when "strangers" are around. anyone he doesn't see on a daily basis is a stranger to him so it's hard to bring in temporary help. he even acts out when my sister and her kids visit bc she lives across the continent and we only see her once every couple years (╥_╥)

I really hope people aren't perpetuating the idea that omarchy is a proper distro but rather a set of shell scripts! And jeez I forgot about the grok + twitter stuff. Wild how the preinstalled packages seem to be take it or leave it. That's overly opinionated enough to keep me away, regardless of dhh's very problematic views.

i think the times we live it make it even harder to have neutrality because we constantly see people being attacked and abducted in the streets every day now

the thing with framework is if they just didn't do so much public omarchy glazing on the framework accounts, no one would really care if nirav uses it on his personal computer. now the framework discord is even on strike!

omarchy is not a real distro. it's just one guy's user preferences for arch linux and it includes terrible stuff like grok and apparently a keybinding that launches twitter (￢_￢;) as i've written in my recent hyprland post, i prefer when my os comes as a blank slate rather than full of bloatware

Jokes aside, I'm becoming increasingly convinced that neutrality at the individual and company level are a privilege that ends up benefiting the bullies. I can sympathize for growing companies like framework who need every ounce of support they can get, which currently puts them in a dilemma.

If it were me, I think I would try to clarify framework's worldview and focus on accessibility and inclusivity. Noting that omarchy + hyprland are useful and free* tools made by people whose views (hopefully) don't align with the company.

* low key feels like omarchy is really a user acquisition trojan horse as it bundles in basecamp + hey + probably other 37signals software by default. Even if it can be ignored + uninstalled, still feels like a free ad for them to be like "hey!! we exist!!! we're not like _those_ other companies!"
