Why do we consume our feeds algorithmically but our chats chronologically? The current chat UX treats all messages as if theyโre the same level of importance or relevance even though theyโre not, especially in larger groups This leads to notification fatigue which in turn causes members to mute and check out

I don't want to consume my Warpcast feed algorithmically but we're not given a choice (except switching clients).

The end of your sentence is contradictory: you do have a choice (switching clients) Warpcast is an opinionated product and the team will build it how they think is best (which I agree with them that algo feeds are better than chron), you can choose to use their up or not โ totally up to you The cool thing with Farcaster is if you donโt like their app you can just use another one or even build your own!

If I switch clients I'm not using Warpcast anymore. I specifically mentioned Warpcast and not Farcaster so I disagree it's contradictory. I do like the team being opinionated, except in this instance of course ๐ (I would really like a chronological feed option in Warpcast even if they hide the toggle deep in the settings. It's the main issue I have with the product.) Most people do indeed consume algorithm feeds (I'll never understand why) although I'm not sure they realize they have a choice with some products. An algorithmic feed feels to me like choice is being taken away and I'm being sold something.
