It’s one thing to be loved in private, and another to be defended in your absence.

A while ago, someone I didn’t even know well spoke up for me in a space I wasn’t even aware I was being discussed. She shut down something unfair and told them that i don’t move like that. 

I found out much later and I was honestly shocked.

Sadly, it was the opposite for me. And I got to find out through the same person laughing with her "cool friends" at me. She thought I would laugh too because it wasn't that "serious"

This was more than a decade ago but I've never been able to get it out of my head. Mostly because I would never have done such to her.

Thank you. I've chucked it up as the person being a child then and managed to forgive the person. It's the forgetting that is a tad bit difficult.
