oh no probably didnt help that I sort of agreed with her 🙈 there was a good conversation in our chat today about learning new skills, and how experienced people tend to overestimate how easy something is, and new people tend to underestimate it. @awedjob had a good reference for it but I forget what he called it

Optimal Path It's more when an expert is doing something they are an expert at. They think it is "easy". It's from "The Extended Mind" by Annie Murphy Paul. Chapter 7 to be exact. "After years of practice, much of an experts' knowledge and skill has become 'automatized'." Expert trauma surgeons were asked to describe a specific procedure and they neglected to cite 70% of the actions they performed during the procedure.
