We had a good discussion yesterday on /gmfarcaster about how different social media platforms make you feel.

Elon used to talk about how his north star metric for X was to maximize unregrettable minutes spent on the platform.

All social media companies monetize through attention. Attention is scarce; attention is zero sum. All social media companies need to maximize your time spent on their platform.

Spend time scrolling on TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, Farcaster.  Then ask yourself: HOW DO YOU FEEL?  

I love the concept of unregrettable minutes, even if it's nearly impossible to measure.

For me personally, Farcaster is the only platform I don't regret spending time on.
