Oh, things peaked right here for sure. 
As the line would evolve they smoothed out all the aesthetic that gave it that rugged charm

Yeah I think for that use-case it was a huge improvement over previous technologies.

I just watched Andor. I think Star Wars tech is pegged at this same rugged aesthetic peak too. 

I so wanted one of these. Never had one.

They smoothed out the aesthetic and it smoothed out our brains in the process... 🤣 🤣
