Let me pushback on that. I think it’s a French movie with LA locations. If it looks so gorgeous is because foreign directors photograph the US the best. Also, there’s no Bullit without the French wave minimalism, location shooting , natural lightning, elliptic editing, ambiguity, jazz, and observational cinematography.. And yes, there’s no French wave without Hollywood meat and potato’s storytelling
