😅 but did you have one of those spicy meals or something else i had to look up the other kitchens you listed and i mean its all south chinese had to look up what shanghainese food likes but i don’t think it really gets me

yea the spicy is alright at most, doesn't add any value to the dishes as a whole, it's just a new experience if you’ve never had one imo mostly south chinese probably due to what i grew up with and what's available around me, but i've been trying more northern cuisine and i'll stick liking the southern ones straight top of my mind of shanghainese is xiao long bao and hairy crab, both are so delightful

LOL yes it's different, you should try the ones by Din Tai Fung if there's one in your area, but Din Tai Fung is Taiwanese's take. i think you will change your mind once you've had it.

all the family owned cantonese restaurants are closing because they are retiring. usually they are beeing replaced by mainland chinese restaurant i have seen those dumplings on youtube but haven’t tried it and also am not like seeking them, you know what i mean? haven’t been to a chinese restaurant since 2 or 3 years they are rare here usually we have mediterranean like italian, greek or turkish. sometimes vietnamese or japanese a tibetan dumpling restaurant just opened latley but they only open on friday, saturday, sunday
