never had xiao long bao, but from what i have seen i don’t think they can compete with southern chinese dumplings

yea the spicy is alright at most, doesn't add any value to the dishes as a whole, it's just a new experience if you’ve never had one imo

mostly south chinese probably due to what i grew up with and what's available around me, but i've been trying more northern cuisine and i'll stick liking the southern ones

straight top of my mind of shanghainese is xiao long bao and hairy crab, both are so delightful
