I have 3 core beliefs about News in 2024: - Most people canβt tell the difference between an opinion piece and a news piece. Publications need to make the difference clear.

Agree w 2 & 3. For first point, I think most people just like to hear what they already agree w and don't want their views challenged. It's a preference not an matter of ignorance. Since almost all news sources are biased/selective in their coverage, its natural to gravitate towards what makes you feel good

My question though is how do you make this sustainable, without falling for the same misaligned incentive traps of commercial or "independent" media?

Iβd want to have advertisers sponsor the feed for one day or one week, with a daily post crediting them for their sponsorship - similar to how Gruber does it at Daring Fireball. That plus tipping on platforms like Farcaster would make it profitable for a micro sized team of 1-3 people.
