The "Timescape" model is a cosmological model proposed as an alternative to the standard Lambda-CDM model (ΛCDM) for explaining the accelerating expansion of the universe. It suggests that the observed acceleration isn't due to dark energy, but rather a consequence of how time and distance are perceived differently in regions of varying density. Specifically, the model incorporates gravitational time dilation, where time slows down in denser areas like galaxies and speeds up in vast, relatively empty voids. This variation in the flow of time across the universe could create the illusion of accelerating expansion.

oh wow, wasn't aware that such a model exists. Kinda proud of myself now that back in the day I independently thought of something similar (more so bc of my very limited knowledge of astrophysics) https://physics.stackexchange.com/questions/116485/time-slowing-down-vs-universe-expanding

Impressive! Given our previous discussions you really need to get into Wolfram physics.
