🫰PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel and Anduril founder Palmer Luckey are launching Erebor, (https://x.com/CoinDesk/status/1940418689389744352) a digital bank for crypto and tech startups. The name nods to the Lonely Mountain from The Hobbit, where dwarves kept their treasure… until greed ruined everything. Let’s hope this time ends better.

🇰🇿 Kazakhstan is building its own Bitcoin and crypto reserve. The head of the National Bank just confirmed (https://x.com/BitcoinMagazine/status/1939599284837494917) it. While the world reshuffles, they’re making sure to grab a seat at the digital economy table.

👛 Solana now lets you (https://x.com/SolanaFloor/status/1939772071485030500) buy Nvidia, Google, MicroStrategy stocks straight from your wallet. No KYC required. This is what real asset access looks like. TradFi and crypto don’t have to fight, let them run side by side.

💸 A year ago financial advisors were saying (https://x.com/TheBTCTherapist/status/1939141177669767282) 1–3% in Bitcoin, now it’s 10% minimum. This is a proper mindset shift. Bitcoin is no longer for diversification. It’s the foundation of a resilient investment strategy. Digital gold is becoming the norm.

🔬 Your weekly roundup of some of the coolest non-Web3 science and tech stories. ✦ A quantum computer that (https://x.com/UAPWatchers/status/1932462045582008566) runs at room temperature solved a problem in 2 minutes that would take a conventional computer 7 million years. ✦ Nasa’s James Webb telescope has made final observations (https://scitechdaily.com/webb-telescope-raises-moon-impact-odds-for-city-killer-asteroid-2024-yr4/) about “city killer” asteroid 2024 YR4, before it moved too far away. The asteroid has a 4.3% chance of striking the moon in 2032, but will not hit Earth. ✦ Scientists have created (https://www.snexplores.org/article/3d-printed-robot-runs-on-air) a six-legged robot that works using air pressure, without any electronics. It’s waterproof and may ultimately offer new solutions for use in harsh environments, or even medicine.

💰 One unlucky user just burned $60K (https://cointelegraph.com/news/how-one-bitcoin-user-accidentally-paid-60k-in-fees) on Bitcoin fees. They tried to speed up a stuck transaction using replace-by-fee (RBF), but mixed up sats per byte with total fee. They set it at 305,000 sats/byte… and paid a miner 0.75 BTC by accident.

🌎 The US is considering factoring crypto assets into mortgage eligibility, according to (https://x.com/BitcoinMagazine/status/1937423261718995135) the head of the Federal Housing Finance Agency. Big move not just for the US. Housing is a global issue, and crypto might actually help solve it.

📉 Jim Cramer, (https://x.com/jimcramer) host of “Mad Money”, has a reputation for making terrible financial predictions. In fact, he’s so bad that there’s a “Reverse Cramer” ETF that does the opposite of what he recommends. But how is it possible to be so wrong, so consistently? Partly it’s because he’s so loud and confident, as part of his show’s style. It makes his mistakes more memorable. But also, his job is to entertain and engage viewers, not to act as a financial advisor. He’s not so very different from the many, many crypto influencers who make money from clicks.

🧠 Elon says Grok 3.5 (or 4) will rewrite humanity’s knowledge from scratch. Fix errors, add facts, retrain the model on cleaner data. Because the current stuff is too much junk. CZ’s response: (https://x.com/cz_binance/status/1936341458317095189) let’s see how that goes. History and opinion aren’t universal. They shift with country, culture, and especially politics. In the AI age, it’s not just about how smart the model is. It’s about whose truth it’s learning.

😨 CoinTelegraph’s frontend was hit. Users saw popups (https://x.com/Cointelegraph/status/1936959898094583916) pushing fake “CTG tokens” and “CoinTelegraph ICO Airdrops.” The team confirmed the breach and is working on a fix. Just days ago, CoinMarketCap suffered (https://x.com/dippy_eth/status/1936195810544558488) a nearly identical attack, and some users got drained. Scammers are targeting trusted news sites now. Double-check URLs, never connect blindly.

🧘 I hear about a lot of people who want to “make it” in crypto and retire with the money. But is that a good idea? Many of them don’t have much of an idea what they would do after retiring early. Work – meaningful work – is an important source of identity, fulfilment, and self-esteem. Leave the daily grind behind, sure. But don’t think that not having to do anything will make you happy. “Find a job you love and you’ll never work another day in your life.”

📈 Bitcoin Treasury Companies are a new trend to emerge in this cycle. Basically, these are companies that hold Bitcoin on their balance sheets. Their core business might have nothing to do with Web3 – one is a coffee franchise, for example. It feels like everyone is jumping on the bandwagon. This is something we’ve seen before with “blockchain” as a buzzword. If anyone was around in 2017, they might remember the Long Island Iced Tea Blockchain Corporation… How will it end? We don’t know. But just like investing in meme coins, where there’s lots of hype and no fundamentals, be very careful!

🧠 Building on blockchain? AI is good – but you can be better. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella recently emphasized the importance of computational thinking for tech students, even as AI becomes more and more capable. He encouraged his audience to master this and other fundamentals to stay competitive in an AI-driven world. Computational thinking involves breaking down complex problems into manageable parts, identifying efficient solutions, and creating step-by-step instructions. It’s about thinking logically and algorithmically to tackle challenges, even outside of coding. That kind of critical thinking is valuable in all kinds of areas of life.

🤔 CZ warns that (https://x.com/cz_binance/status/1935910955139186692) even video calls can no longer be considered secure. Deepfake technology is evolving fast, and scammers are now able to convincingly fake both voices and faces. What used to be a reliable way to verify identity is no longer foolproof. One of the most common tricks is a message from a “friend” sharing a link to some software, but that trusted face might actually be a scammer. Stay alert and think twice before clicking – even if the message comes from someone close.

🔮 Solana Pay predicts (https://x.com/solanapay/status/1935681470334751086) we might soon see signs in stores saying “Fiat not accepted – Solana only.” It’s a bold statement, but also a bit narrow. The future shouldn't be about swapping one extreme for another. It should be about freedom of choice. Whether it's fiat, crypto, or stablecoins, buyers should be able to pay however they want to

🔮 We are terrible at predicting the future! That’s one reason why forecasts that AI will take our jobs and result in a population crash should be taken with a grain of salt. (https://cointelegraph.com/magazine/ignore-the-jobs-doomers-pwc-says-ai-will-probably-get-you-a-fat-raise-ai-eye/) Other major studies – like one by PwC – suggest AI could lead to a major boost in productivity and wages. One thing is clear: those who actively seek to use AI and learn more will benefit the most. How can you use AI to make you better, faster, and more efficient in your job?

🖥 Don’t use public wi-fi for Web3 transactions or to log into exchanges. It’s too easy for hackers to access your private data. If you must use public wi-fi, then use a VPN. But if possible, wait until you can get back to a secure connection. Remember: a hacker only has to get lucky once. Don’t take the chance.

💸 Bitcoin used to be a protest, and now it’s a line item. Retail is leaving, institutions are buying. Governments are stacking. Feels bullish, looks strange. We spent years dreaming of adoption. Now that it’s here, not sure it’s ours anymore.

😴 Taking a real day off isn’t always easy. Your phone’s buzzing, your brain’s racing, and the grind never stops calling. But rest isn’t laziness, it’s discipline. You don’t stumble into recovery. You choose it. Put the phone down. Walk away from the screen. Let your mind breathe.
