They tried to speed up a stuck transaction using replace-by-fee (RBF), but mixed up sats per byte with total fee. They set it at 305,000 sats/byte… and paid a miner 0.75 BTC by accident.

📉 Jim Cramer, (https://x.com/jimcramer) host of “Mad Money”, has a reputation for making terrible financial predictions. In fact, he’s so bad that there’s a “Reverse Cramer” ETF that does the opposite of what he recommends. But how is it possible to be so wrong, so consistently? Partly it’s because he’s so loud and confident, as part of his show’s style. It makes his mistakes more memorable. But also, his job is to entertain and engage viewers, not to act as a financial advisor. He’s not so very different from the many, many crypto influencers who make money from clicks.

Work – meaningful work – is an important source of identity, fulfilment, and self-esteem. Leave the daily grind behind, sure. But don’t think that not having to do anything will make you happy. “Find a job you love and you’ll never work another day in your life.”
