Brainstorming an answer to the “longevity” brand - should be positively framed - should convey a sense of burning hot and heavy - should convey a sense that meaning in life is substantially generated by progress through a narrative arc with natural discrete sections - ideally should subtly convey that death is a feature not a bug, though definitely nothing death cultish; it’s about life affirmation - ideally should convey the notion that a brief, rich life lived to the fullest is preferable to puritanical neo monastic asceticism It’s hard to pack any of that, let alone all of it, into a one word rallying cry that does as much work as “longevity” So nothing’s off the table, just throw out some ideas And I would love to just ignore longevity and live my life, but longevity crap is going to increasingly pervade normal life as all of these childless adult children try to alchemy their way into immortality in an attempt to make sense of their place in the world So we’re going to need some shorthand way to say “no thanks, I’ll pass on your brand of self inflicted misery, I’m happily living and dying” Some ideas: Intensity Vitality Incandescence (I know these are not good)
