I've been asked about a clanker i recently initiated.

The clanker is called 30. The ticker is $30.

It is a simple memecoin with one twist.

Here it is, straight from the metadata:

"30% of this token is vaulted to be airdropped equally to the top 30 holders after 30 days."

My motivation to clank $30 was three-fold.

1. every so often, i have an urge to clank

2. i wanted to try some of clanker's new features:
- vault (30% (max))
- starting market cap (5 ETH)
- preclank (trigger word = "experiment")
- token metadata (to describe the mechanism)
- the only feature i did NOT use was the "Creator buy"

3. i wanted to see if and how this might impact $QR, one of several clankers I have deployed, but the only one with a significant valuation which I am actively working hard on, etc. (i think it's dumb that people tend to devalue a creator's existing tokens when they deploy new ones, whether they be clankers, zora coins, or something else, but I have seen that happen a lot, so I wanted to test it sooner than later to gauge the magnitude, so as not to fear coining for no reason, should I want to do so more, which i expect to)

And so I clanked.

My urge was immediately satisfied, I took away that the new clanker features are cool, and the $QR market cap did not appear to be materially impacted, which was a good learning that makes me more comfortable continuing to clank and more broadly coin freely as I was before $QR, flying in the face of the stigma which says one should only coin very infrequently.

Below I have included my initial cast which triggered the clanker, my bounty posted to create a leaderboard for the Top 30 holders, the wonderful website & mini app which @mattlee built within 24 hours of my posting said bounty, and a link to the clanker itself.

To be clear, I do not plan to work on $30 in any meaningful capacity, but I can also not guarantee you that I won't, because I don't believe in ill-reasoned restrictions? Right now, I am focused on $QR, working hard on $QR, and my clanking this has nothing to do with that.

What I will do is execute the airdrop to the top 30 holders after 30 days, as described in the metadata. Do not be dumb and buy more than you can not only afford to lose, but actually be completely OK losing. dyor, nfa, etc..

I believe in experimentation, having fun onchain, disregarding stigmas which seem unwarranted, and just doing things.

one interesting observation: the coin which this cast was about, which had only 3 transactions in the 2 hours before i casted this, had 50 transactions within 3 minutes of my cast, but only 1 combined like, recast, or reply. so are there (a.) bots trading on things such as "if creator casts with the ticker, auto-buy and then sell after x% increase or y% decrease" or some similar logic, (b.) humans trading instantly but not engaging with the cast, and/or (c.) something else? of course i know there are bots all over initial coin launches, but i did not expect that they tracked casts like that, for accounts like mine at least (maybe some bigger names, i get) if that is in fact what happened here.

I did not see this. But in my experience when I see this kind of casts, I usually ape. When I ape, there are few bots that follow me. But 600+ people that follow me on @interface. Some of those people may ape without knowing the reason just the trust of the desicion. And after research they may ape more or jeet.

For those those people some other bots are triggered.


After all this happens I interact.


Saying this you only need 1 person like me to trigger all this actions.

Which could bring to between 0 to 1 interaction in the short term.

People who bought after and still holding will take time to research and interact.

In conclusion, i don’t think there are bots linked to the cast mention. (Which I think it’s possible and I have observed on X. But behavior is way different
