I think people need to understand something simple but important:
Kindness doesnāt always come with an agenda.
Some of us are just genuinely nice, not because we want something, but because itās how we were raised, or how our heart works.
Iāll ask you if youāve eaten. Iāll check in and say āAre you sure youāre okay?ā even after you say āIām fine.ā
Not because Iām trying to get close or gain something, but because I care.
And that care isnāt selective. Itās for strangers, for friends, for anyone who crosses my path.
Sometimes, I feel like people misread that. Like being kind equals being clingy or wanting attention.
So they start to push away or shut down, as if kindness has to come with a price tag.
It doesnāt.
Some of us just do it because⦠thatās who we are. Out of respect, morals, or pure humanity.
Itās not always deeper than that. And it shouldnāt have to beš„². 4 replies
