Im running opus for science but holy crap it is expensive. Amazing though. I’d you’re sonetting, have opus write you a detailed PRD and implementation plan, save to md and pass to sonnet.

Gemini was my daily driver but I A:Bd a few implementation plans and tried a few hard problems on both and opus had better wall time, I had some good experiences with sonnet but it also got stuck in loops on my mega hard prompts

I was impressed with Gemini 2.5 enough to buy into the Google AI Ultra plan, but for the past two weeks my Cursor has been set to Claude 4 Sonnet which basically nails everything I've asked it to do, at the $20 monthly level. I'd bet Opus would be even better, but I'm trying to avoid quickly burning through my stash 😄
