Are 5 publicly owned grocery stores going to prevent someone from going to a private grocery store? No

Are free buses going to stop someone from taking a cab, riding a bike or driving their own car? No

A lot of people have asked me if I will get involved in the NYC mayor race by supporting a candidate that can defeat Zohran Mamdani. TBH, I’m torn and undecided. Like every other city run by democrats, NYC is a broken kleptocracy. Taxes are astronomical and services are pathetic

Well said. Socialism ultimately harms the poorest people in society the most (while being marketed as a way to protect them). Economic freedom is required for all societal progress. Every generation has to learn this lesson, sometimes the hard way, as it is a counter-intuitive

did you know that most big societies/countries have hybrid economic systems lol. not 100% capitalist or socialist. i dont think socialism has ever worked. great in theory but terrible in practice.

And that “socialist” economy that you speak of has Integrated capitalist principles and practices. Pure socialist and/or capitalist economies do not really exist lol.

The second largest economy in the world is communist (a sub sect of socialism). Yes, typically most countries incorporate some public ownership or government provision of things like infrastructure and education, but to be truly socialist the workers have to own the means of production.
