the assumptions about farcaster culture are more damaging than actual farcaster culture

assumption: people hate solana, hate memecoins, everyone is base and eth "aligned" and has a stick up ass etc.

reality: literally nobody gaf you can say whatever you want it's chill, the above is cope to justify self censoring

this is true but no one really pushed back on the assumptions in public for a long ass time, so the assumptions persisted and even amplified

there have been several instances where i've reached out and said "why do you think this?" and i'm literally the first person to tell them that they assumed incorrectly

Early on, maybe first two years or something like that, there were lots of posts from OGs and future OGs that were along the lines of, ‘ thank god there’s no coin/chart talk like CT’ followed by tons of affirmation so there definitely a culture that looked down on that. it didn’t come from nowhere.
