america in the 70s had one restaurant per ~7000 people. now it's 1 per ~350 austin in the late 90s, early 2000s had like 4 places to go, now everyone is a piggie at the trough, restaurants replaced shows, clubs, outings, it's all people do and totally unsustainable.
