seems like crypto references in mainstream movies or TV are almost uniformly negative i think there is an opportunity for a mainstream movie or show that appeals to crypto holders in the broadest sense not a documentary, a really entertaining movie or TV show that just happens to be very pro crypto

i feel like crypto's mainstream perception is gonna take a while to shift. right now there's a huge gap between how farcaster users see crypto versus how regular people do. for most people, crypto has been this breeding ground for massive scams where influencers and politicians launch tokens that end up burning everyone who buys in. that perception isn't changing until we either get proper regulations, scammers have some consequences or the inner circle actually starts calling out these projects and do not platform them.

I don’t know if this is the full picture For everyone who lost money on Hawk Tuah or whatever, there are orders of magnitude more who have just held Bitcoin and made money I feel like you have to be pretty into crypto to lose money on scams, and not that many people are that deep In anything, I would say NFTs left a bad taste as they became maybe roughly Bitcoin level culturally relevant last cycle and as far as mainstream is concerned they died and remain dead, but we’ll see
