An unexpected outcome of the recent vibe shift is that more people I know (and respect) are open about their "climate change" skepticism Mostly disagreement about causes & severity, but it's a strange position bc it's disconnected from observable reality Imo the cause is a red herring — more important to feel the volatility

I am not really seeing a vibe shift in terms of causes, but definitely see people caring less considering other problems like inflation and global conflicts.

yeah better way to phrase it. This was a fringe position a couple of years ago but has become more and more mainstream. Having said that, I think job displacement by AI and Russia Ukraine conflicts are actually more pressing so I do see a logic here.

It's like that important x urgent matrix Definitely need to focus on important + urgent, but as a society if we don't handle important + not urgent, both importance and urgency increase
