Interesting thought experiment. My take on it would be: 
Think we need to differentiate crypto into (my read of it): 
- CR1-Crypto: started as cypher-punk-allure which turned into mostly financial betting on new currencies for the sake of increasing own fiat bags. This is where blackrock now sits

Planet, punk rock, penguins - and foxes, foxes are cool, too!

All of this is over-emphasized to make shapes clearer. Of course there is middle grounds and flux between these categories. And quantum entities, that sit in several of these categories at the same time.
