SEEING WITHOUT GRASPING, KNOWING WITHOUT CLINGING
In many of his teachings, the Buddha emphasized a profound insight:
“In the seen, there is only the seen.
In the heard, only the heard.”
— Bahiya Sutta
This simple statement opens the door to liberation.
We do not suffer because of what we see or hear.
We suffer because we cling to what is seen and heard — weaving it into self, story, judgment.
⸻
🌱 What does non-clinging awareness mean?
• It means seeing clearly, without being pulled by the object
• It means feeling emotions without being trapped inside them
• It means knowing, without turning that knowing into possession
Non-clinging is not indifference.
It is clarity without entanglement, presence without resistance.
⸻
🪷 “Rest in awareness,
untouched by the content that arises within it.”
This is the heart of freedom — to move through life with eyes open,
yet with nothing sticking to the mirror of the mind. 0 reply
