An issue with Farcaster is that it’s a lot of tech-brained people’s first time running a big account Take @alexpaden as a random example — 40k followers on Farcaster but only 200 on X Ppeople aren’t used to actual poasting, only this odd LinkedIn-esque subculture (Note: I love Farcaster + all of you here)

farcaster is tricky to engage with as a platform because everybody is either 35 or autistic (many such cases of both) harder to get bangers off when people don't get jokes

i would live in SF in a heartbeat (for the nature) if >50% of conversations i have there didn't make me want to put a 9mm in my temple it's like being at ETH Denver 24/7 "i'm raising" / "let's grab coffee" / "can i get a referral" are nonstop sure I'm happy to discuss all that stuff but stop leading with it
