@gami
i keep coming back to “idea.”
not as content.
not as inspiration.
not as something you write on a whiteboard.
idea in the older sense.
from the Greek *idéa*, from *idein*:
to see.
an idea was originally a form, an appearance, a thing perceived before it became material.
that feels important now.
because AI is making execution abundant.
writing, coding, rendering, remixing, summarizing, assembling.
all of it gets cheaper.
but what comes before execution gets more valuable.
the seeing.
the naming.
the forming.
the deciding what should exist.
this is probably why i keep getting pulled back toward /nouns
nouns are people, places, things, and ideas.
/gnars is an extension of that:
real people.
real places.
real things.
skaters, surfers, riders, builders, local scenes, physical culture, lived agency.
in an age where more of the internet becomes synthetic, those things matter more, not less.
but ideas are the layer i want to dedicate myself to now.
not “ideas” as takes.
not opinions.
not content.
ideas as reality-generating forms.
the things that become products, protocols, cultures, companies, movements, myths.
the things humans see before the world can.
it might seem esoteric right now.
but i think this becomes the whole game.
execution is no longer the bottleneck.
what comes before it is.
