⚙️ v4.1 creator flywheel support 🧰
clanker supports token pairings of any ERC-20 in v3.1 and also v4
while this can be positive for both assets in price appreciation, selling the paired to fund projects compounds sell pressure and can work against the flywheel
clanker's next iteration, v4.1, introduces automated buybacks of any token with generated fees. these buybacks happen on both buys and sells, so each swap you're always creating positive buy pressure
creators can specify what % of fees go toward buybacks, and pools can designate extensions as fee recipients that handle the logic using WETH or any portion of fees to execute buybacks. the extension architecture means pools can ultimately be coded to do whatever you want
this mechanism keeps new tokens paired with ETH, avoids indexer latency from non-WETH pairs, and provides buy pressure to other assets without pegging the new token's price chart to a more volatile underlying asset
